Dan Beroukhim

Welcome to my page. Thank you for taking some time to learn about me.
I was raised in Los Angeles and I received my bachelor degree from the University of California-Santa Barbara. Currently I reside in San Francisco as I am enrolled at the University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry, Class of 2015.
Prior to committing to dental school I worked as a dental assistant and shadowed a handful of other dentists in order to decide if dentistry was right for me. It didn’t take me long to confirm my passion for dentistry. I spent the rest of my time as an assistant forming an image of the dentist I aspired to be. Although this image continues to shape and develop further every day, there is one aspect of it which I am certain about: there will always be room for growth, to look up to other dentists and mentors, and to be better, professionally and personally.
Dentistry is as exciting and innovative as it has ever been because of the new advances in technology and medicine. I have been fortunate to be introduced to and have the opportunity to firsthand experience some of this futuristic dentistry during my time in dental school. Among the many different fields of dentistry, I have a great interest in implant dentistry and the use of CBCT imaging in order to do implant treatment planning. I also have a strong interest in minimally invasive dentistry with the use of bonding. Adhesion dentistry is quickly transforming a full crowned PFM prep into an onlay EMAX prep, leaving most of the structural integrity of the tooth intact.
Although results are reached more slowly at a dental school, nothing brings me more pleasure than exceeding my patients’ expectations. As a novice dentist under the time pressure of a dental school, it is sometimes easy to forget about the patient as a whole and build a treatment plan based solely on radiographs and a clinical exam.
However, that only brings results that are “clinically acceptable.” I seek to accomplish more than the minimum. I intend to contribute to the overall health and wellness of my patients. With their personal concerns in mind, I want to work with my patients to achieve a healthy balance between function and visual appearance that will surpass their expectations.
I seek a position where I can join a team, in which I can utilize the skills that I have retained in the past years in assisting patients, while learning, growing, and maturing as a dentist by way of experience and learning from my superiors.
